Verb: To Become Known
I help young adults overcome roadblocks keeping them from freedom and confidence, and I help children understand their emotions to make sense of the world around them.
WHO I HELP
Since opening the doors of practice, I have provided clients in the Atlanta area, with a wide range of mental health services. From experiencing circumstantial symptoms to processing traumatic experiences - my services are personalized to suit everyone’s needs.
For Children Ages 3-10
Are you a parent who feels frustrated or angry with your child? Do you feel hopeless or like you're at your wits' end?
If so, give me a call today to talk about your options. There is hope for your relationship with your child.
In play therapy, children learn to respect themselves and others, to take responsibility for their feelings and actions, and self-control.
Whether you're a parent seeking help for yourself or your child, a college student navigating early adulthood, or someone looking for help with other concerns in life such as feeling anxious or sad, we can work together to improve your quality of life.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT
Your first visit is like test-driving a car. We'll sit down together and have a conversation about what it is that brought you in. We'll talk about everything from what's going on in your life today to how you got there. I'll tell you about how I view counseling and we will work together to clarify what you'd like to see change in your life.
The first visit often feels like not much therapy got done. Just like test-driving a car, you're just getting a sense of who I am, my process, and whether or not you'd like to come back.
You'll enter into a waiting room stocked with coffee and water. Ideally, your paperwork will already be done so we can talk about it together. In my office, you'll find a comfy couch and some fidgets in case you want to distract yourself while we talk about hard things!
"Pain is unrelenting. It will get our attention. Despite our attempts to drown it in addiction, to physically beat it out of one another, to suffocate it with success and material trappings, or to strangle it with our hate, pain will find a way to make itself known. It will subside only when we acknowledge it and care for it."
I help people develop tools to cope with all of life’s challenges. Contact me today to learn more or book a session.
